This Saturday, June 6, we will have a “soft” opening, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is a “Sneak Peek”, “Trial Run”, “One day only” event, with most (but not all) of the products we carry, and safety precautions in effect. Dave’s EverCrisp & Honeycrisp apples, fresh local asparagus, Peterson Farms Frozen Fruit, local Liberty Farms organic Breakfast Cookies, and local Woodland frozen pies will be on hand, as well as local and Michigan-made pantry and gift items. The hour from 8-9 a.m. is especially for vulnerable shoppers. We welcome EBT and P-EBT cards, which can be used at our market to get Double Up Food Bucks tokens for free fresh fruits & vegetables. Tokens can be used right away or saved until later in the season.
Also on Saturday, June 6, outside the market, from 8:30 to 6, will be Joann’s Decluttering & Downsizing Sale, where most items will be 25 cents per piece. Hundreds (thousands?) of books for toddlers through adults will provide plenty of-a good reads- a quarter apiece, or 10/$1. Toys, games, puzzles, kitchen items, bedding & comforters, towels, & more. Hand sanitizer will be available for use & social distancing is required. This is a one day, once in a lifetime event! Bring your quarters and take home some great stuff!
